Brief description of the order
The project had as its object the dismantling of the protection screens of the upper CO2 pipelines of the Latina Nuclear Power Plant and was aimed at reducing the loads on the service structures of the steam generators. The executive design envisaged, for each of the six reinforced concrete screens, the demolition by means of a controlled deconstruction in segments (each with a maximum weight of 2250 kg) using cutting machines with a diamond disc, effectively reducing the impacts related to the production of dust, noise, and vibrations; cut the segment, it was moved on the ground by means of a special tower crane and, after relative radiometric control, it was transferred to a special area for the separation of the iron from the concrete.
