Brief description of the order
The tanker Gelso M, with a total length of 148m, a maximum beam of 22m, and a gross tonnage of 11422 tons, ran aground due to bad weather in March 2012 off the coast of Syracuse. The executive project developed involved the onshore demolition of the 7 sections into which it was divided: each section was sectioned into the sea, deposited at the ASI pier in the Targia district, and demolished in 7 days to make way for the next section.
